Cleaning old rock wall

I recently bought a used tank with a rock wall glued in. I'd like to clean out the tank as well as set up all the plumbing with tap water. How bad is this for the rock? It's currently all dry the rock really only needs a rinse. But it will be full while I test the plumbing as well as for leaks

It might possibly explode :lmao:I would put prime in the tap water, test, drain, fill with RO/DI.
