Cleaning pH probe and where to get calibration solution

Just wondering where to get pinpoint pH probe calibration solution locally for the best price?

I was also wondering how to clean a pH probe? Mine is covered in coraline algae.

Thanks

vinegar and a toothbrush to clean it. and try and put it somewhere without light with no corraline if you can.

get both 7 and 4 ph's solution

Thanks gasman, i didn't know pH4 was an option for saltwater, my RK2 says to use 7 and ph10 but does have the option to use 4. I thought it was for fresh water tanks but you got me thinking 4 is a true low range. I am getting 4 i bet it will give a better calibration. THANKS

they say you should use the 7 and 10 range, but ive always used 4 and 7 on my aquacontroller, i dont think it really makes a dif lol.

I always use 7 and 10. You really just have to measure the slope, which theoretically shouldn't matter which solution you use, as long as it gives it a slope value, but i guess 10 is closer than 4 to what you're measuring, so I've always been using that.

I use all 3 when I do decide to calibrate- once every 2 years or so lol.
But can't disagree with the previous post/

There are two screws for calibrating my monitor. One is for 7 and the other is for (4 or 10).

I would have to "assume" by this that using the 4 or the 10 is pretty much the same.
