Cleaning Rock

Best way to clean Live Rock that was in a tank with minimal maintenance would be what? The Rock has been sitting outside on my deck since Friday to dry it out. I was going to scrub the rock and spray with freshwater as to not introduce any of the bad stuff to the new tank. I know this will start a cycle so I am going to transfer my existing still in use live rock today from my other 40 Breeder. The rock being transferred today had been kept in one of my reef tanks for about a year. Only harmful thing on them right now are a few Aiptasia which I can get rid of.

I would scrub and clean with freshwater (mine is well water...no chlorine) and then soak in ASW.

I had 2 40 Breeders going. 1 is empty now the other is still running. Would it be safe to cure the newly clean LR in the tank that is still running after I empty that one into my 54?

If it still has any organics on or in it it will cause a mini cycle from the die off.

Yeah, I figured it would. So off to a LR sanctuary it goes to become mature, live rock again. Thanks for your help!
