Cleaning Sump with CUC & RO/DI Questions

Obvious question is can I place a few hermits in my sump to clean up the algae that's growing in it? I do plan on draining it and cleaning it up eventually just was curious about this.

Shouldn't any algae be growing in it since I don't have a light running underneath as well?

Need to replace my DI stages on my RO system as well. What do y'all recommend replacing them with? From my previous post Buckeye Hydro suggested using carbon and not GAC.

You can add cleanup crew to your sump but its better just to clean it. If you have a shop vac you can suck all the detritus out real quick. No you shouldn't have algae growing if there is no light.

You want sediment filter in the first stage carbon block in the second ro in the third(up top) and DI in the final stage.

I think I have to replace my DI filters because my TDS after DI is reading 4 and before it goes into the DI its like 6. It used to be 0 after DI stage.

Yes you need to replace your DI resin. I get DI resin refill packs from BRS. You just re-use your current DI "cartridges". saves $$.

Your TDS out of your last DI should be 0. I change when it reads 1.

Replace your DI resin with... DI resin. Not sure what the question is here?

Why would you want to replace your DI resin with carbon?
