Cleaning your tank!

Hey dudes and dudettes!

So I'm seriously, and finally going to clean my old (new) tank up and start really reefing again!

As some know and for those who don't, I have a 75g rimless tank.

I'm sure fellow rimless owners (well I guess applies to all types of tanks), but more so the rimless guys -- salt creep!

I have a ridiculous amount of salt creep. Just ordered some of that kent salt creep spray, that supposed to keep it from forming.. reviews are mixed, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

Anyway.. I've been doing some searching and some people recommend beleive it or not this ---

A good handful of people say its completely safe and gets the job done well (with a bit of work put into it).

My tank has been sitting for a while with no circulation, water evporated to about half full now.. so I'm contemplating the best route to go about the cleaning process.

I figure I"ll drain as much water as I can from the DT and sump, and have a fresh batch of water to put in.

Also one quick question --

*I'm pretty sure it's safe however; I have a batch of about 5-6 month old "fresh" salt water ready to go. It's been heated and circulated all this time, I figure there is nothing wrong with it correct?

I use it about 2 times a week on my frag tank and I love it I can't see any cons and a lot of pros. No scratching the tank(make sure u don't have sand on the sponge) it cleans even hard algae on the glass or acrylic.
