cleanup crew

where's the best place in the area to go for a cleanup crew with reasonable prices and what not? im from vacaville so i dont always get to peruse the fish stores in sac that often.

was lookin for quite a bit of 10-15hermit crabs, emerald crabs or two, and 20-25snails,maybe a small star if i can. tank is about 2 weeks old so i think that should probably work for now? should it be possible to get that for around 65$ or less?

the shipping prices just are insane for getting them online.

Well standard pricing in Sac is

10 Hermits, $10
Emeral Crabs $7.00 x2
30 Snails, $30
Don't know about the star..
So that's $54 right there.

Now; John at YR always has 20% off the day after a MARS meeting, so tomorrow would be a good day to get them

being about 52 minute drive according to google......would there be problems taking that long to get home with the snails/crabs etc?

I bring home live coral sucessfully on longer drives than that. Bring a small ice chest or insulated bag to transport them in : )

Dude, you gotta go to the top stores in Sac just to check 'em out. The cleaner crew would be a bonus.

i've been to exotic aquarium ostreet aquarium and capital aquarium... so far my fav has been exotic....

i mostly dont get to go cause i work real late during the week and the g/f nags if she doesnt get to go to.....and she works on sat's so only day we can go is sunday

JoJo is practically next door to Exotic. CRS is furthest off freeway but killer service... YR is by far the dominant SPS in the area.

Oh, almost forgot: Matt moved to Fish Planet. Is upgrading reef stuff. I recently picked up two deepwaters and an a. valida there.

If your talking about JO JOS on stockton BLVD they no longer keep salt water items. Or they didn't the last time I was there 2 weeks ago.

Must be different place, cuz JoJo I go to is even expanding their saltwater... I think you're thinking of the place South of JoJo.

I was at JoJo's on New Years eve and they had a ton of corals, clams ect.

jo-jo's had some insanely awesome looking coral, coral reef shop seemed to be insanely priced but had alot of mandarins which i thought was nice.....and your reef was awesome what a great store lol...picked up 16snails and 4 blue leg hermits and a small mushroom frag it might be a bit early for a frag..but i was like ooh how pretty..ha

oh yeah funman you guys have it good....vacaville has only sea splendor which is ok..but no where near the selection.... as in insanely priced my g/f and i both walked out like wow that place was expensive

I got a bunch of snails for my grow out tank today,
I droped by YR and bought 30 to add to my tank that already had 10.
I can't reach many places with the glass scrubber so I hope the snails will help. The tank is already looking better!!!
The eggcrate is turning white again!!!
