KING LEAR
Not saying I agree with all the named hype but lets clear things up.
When you sell a coral such as tubs blues or tyree this or that. Or any of the new named zoo's out there.
1 You can't sell it as A le tyree coral unless you got it from Tyree or from a seller that can be trusted and can be trace it back to the origin.
Theres millions of corals out there that look close, similiar or even the same. But if they didn't come from the same person that named them or grew them out its not "SAID NAME BRAND CORAL"
Sell them as looks like, close to or the such.
Not my rules I just thought that was common knowledge but I've found that it's not practiced by all.
Another example, ORA has a great marketing plan going on, and say you have had a coral that looks like new release they just let out. You can't call it a ORA Red planet unless it came from ORA or came from a frag of ORA Red planet.
Same with cars, just cuz your Hyundyai has a front end that looks like a Jag, You can't call it a Jag because it looks like it....It's not

Yes I do believe that some of the named corals look common, yes I do believe it's out of control pricing is way over the top.
I do buy a good share of name brand corals for one reason.
The track record is proven.... This coral holds it's color, does well and is proven in the hobby. Plus I'm not taking more coral straight out of the ocean.
end rant
