clicking 6055

I have a 6055 that has started clicking or won't run when the night sensor kicks in. I have it on a tunze single controller and when the controller swings to the lower power the pump will either turns off or clicks like its trying to start. Also if I lower the voltage below 22v it clicks or stops as well. I've cleaned it and sometimes can get it working, but then a day later it starts clicking again.

The pump has only been in service for just over a year. Is it already shot? A few months back the old style clamp cracked and was replaced but I was hoping I would get some more years like I have with my old 6000. Do I need to get a new impeller?

Not to worry, even if something is wrong unless it is from neglect(not implying it is) there is a 2 year warranty. When you have taken the pump apart does everything seem to be visibly in working order? Is there a disk under the impeller(be it white, stainless or black)?

I took it apart again this morning and don't recall seeing any disk, but I don't think it is any different now as it was when I bought it. Everything looks ok, at least not broken.

Send in the pump and I will look it over and figure out what is wrong, include a print out of the posts you made here. It sounds like something is jammed or dragging, likely some calcium build up between the drive unit and shaft.
