Climbing Sandstar?

I read somewhere that sandstars were anatomically incapable of climbing and that's why they spend their time burrowing in the sand in search of food. Anyway, this morning I awoke to find my sandstar halfway up the side of the tank on the glass!

Is he a super sandstar or has anyone else had a sandstar do the same thing?

Sandsifting stars are not supposed to have suction cups on their arms, making it impossible to climb up slick surfaces. However, I too have seen some climbing up the walls of tanks. Not really sure how to explain that one...

They can climb, at least the one I have can. I got it from the LFS about two weeks ago and it was on the glass towards the top. Strangely enough I have not see it climb since, but the sand bed in my 150g is a star fish buffet so maybe they only climb when there is nothing to eat in the sand?
