Clkwrk's 120g SPS tank setup and progression journal

Okay here are some pics of the tank and some new pieces. Once the ph stabilized at 8.3 things have seemed to take off. I get great polyp extention and one rescue sps is growing daily I will have to get a pic for you Kirsten and a frag soon

Anyways I will start with my AC millipora top right in pic

Next is the yellow acro with yellow polyps and prop formosa. I can't get enough of the yellow pic does it no justice

Green AC colony bottom rt and purple tri color top left.

Efflo ( needs to color up still)

tenuis and humillus from Gordan.

Moon polyps have double in amt.

Purple encrusting monti of some sort nice 4x8 piece. Love the color in this piece . Pic taken under flash to show true color

My brown turning purple with flash so you can see the color . Awesome purple that keeps creeping down the branches. With any luck it will all turn that purple

Those bleached out rics coloring back up . Very nice IMO

Everything looks great! the tank and the corals. If a piece breaks from the purple encrusting just let me know

Just one thing... I thought I'd give ya a heads up, the algae that's just under your AC milli. I looks just like the stuff thatââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s taking over my tank :eek1: and for the record I have no NO3 or PO...

Mine is an iridescent blue/green and has a semi-plating growth form. Nothing eats this stuff that I've found. It came on an Acro similar to yours and looked cool so I left it. I spread slowly at first then took off. If I where you I would rather be safe then sorry and carefully remove that stuff and don't let any of it get away from you in the tank. HTH.

As for the algea it is almost gone my Powder blue has been mowing on it ever since it went in the tank but that is good to know

Powder blue? ah. I might have to try one... I'm just going to have to catch the Kole or the Mimic... neither of them touch the stuff... oh-well thanks for the info and keep up the good work!

okay heres my update

I can now say things are coming along even better already . I have moved some more sps over, Changed the 10k bulb out , installed a reef fanatic top off and changed out sumps for a new nicer one Also I am going to be adding another ROIII pendant for a total of 3x250 de 8) .

Here is a pic of the new sump in . Don't mind the wires again I need to get them going where I need them

TheWuf- Na not yet . I am going to use another ROIII 250 pendant now instead of the 150 reefstar as I scored one yesterday. I hope the heat will be fine , I am going to double up on the fans in the canopy and have 1 pointing right at the center fixture.
