Thanks for the equiptment shots, that is a very clean setup you have there, under my tank looks like a boiler room shoved under the hood of a VW beetle.

How big is your sump?

THe tank looks great, it has cleaned up very nicely and the corals seem no worse for the drastic change. I bet they will like the extra sholder room.

Do you have 2 MH disconnected still? Or do you have them all pushed to the centre?

Thanks,
Whiskey

P.S. I know the enigne is not under the "hood" (in the front) of a VW beetle, that is why there would be room for a Boiler room ;) .

Looking very nice! Won't take too long before you need that 375 gallon tank - Maybe we can get a group buy going ;)

awsome as always....need more light at the ends though...Is one of the lights still out or like wiskey said your going to move them a bit?

Your funny no matter how much you are prolly right I need to wait until I have concrete to put that biggen on . So I have to wait a few years. But then this one can become my softie tank then .

I love the rockwork, just curious, what were the doors for on the back of your 120. also did you add any more rock to this 180?

Thanks!
The rear side doors? If so that was where all my closed loop plumbing was along with ballasts.

I added 2 large rocks that were supposed to be in the 120 orginally but then I buried them inmy 90g softie tank. Lucky me I had to move the 90 to setup the 180 so I snagged those rocks back for the 180.

oh now I see, I didnt even think of it for that, very nice, wish I had building skill so I could rebuild my stand to be more efficient.

I wish my equipment fit that nicely under my stand :sad1:

It looks great.

Thanks!

Yeah its a far cry from my 120 under the stand......I can actually sit under my stand and hide from the kids

Heres my 120's mess

I know that feeling. Mine is 18 months old. Working on the tank has taken on a whole new meaning. It's like mission impossible :D

Your 120 still had more room than my new 180 does. I can't even get my arms into the stand.

I'll post a pic tomorrow... Kinda reminds me of a can of sardines.

So if I am figuring correctally you are running a sump to tank turnover rate of about 5.55 times, and you were running a tank to sump turnover rate of about 8.33 times.

Let me know as time goes on if you feel this is enough flow through your sump, because I am trying to decide if I want to use my existing Mag-7 (saves power but only 5x) for return or a PCX-55 (uses power but ~9X) on my 120 upgrade that is in the works.

Thanks,
Whiskey

Will do .........So far it's plenty IMO . Both skimmers have pull good amounts of crude the last 2 day.

Thanks ! It has been open house for the last 2 weeks it seems like ...........

But give me until I get my 90 back together and in place before coming to view. But you are more than welcome to come by.
