I decided to throw a Maxijet 1200 into the 150G temporarily to get some additional water movement until the sump was up and running again.
My porcupine puffer (his name is Ray) is a curious guy so he is always checking out anything I put in the tank.
He really wanted to see what that powerhead was all about so he started exploring -- next thing I know, his body got stuck to the side of it and he got scared, inflating himself up. Wow is all I have to say.
I immediately unplugged the powerhead and he swam around the tank all puffed up - easily twice his original size with the huge spines all around his body. He was back down to normal size within a minute.
Needless to say, I won't be running powerheads without the intake screen again.
