I am always amazed at the detail revealed in macro photography.

You guys and those macro lenses:artist:

Let's see, Macro or ACIII

Maybe a Macro next year

Very nice shot Steve

As am I (amazed at the detail).

Terrific pic Steve. Beautiful.

Ideally the right tentacle would not be cropped, but I realize it probably wasn't in the original image.

FYI, there's no EXIF info in your pic.

Your right I didn't capture the right tentacle and image isn't cropped. I try my best to do in camera framing but it doesn't always work out that way. Thanks for the criticism. I love it.

As for the EXIF info it looks like in my save for web window I didn't have add all Metadata selected. By the way how do you view this info if it is there? I use Safari Browser.

That pic's a beauty, even without full right tentacle. Yes, I understand and appreciate that the intended framing somehow isn't always what makes it to the image sensor. :)

With Elements, if I select Save for Web, the image ends up being stripped of EXIF info. Don't know why. Wish it didn't. I end up Image/Resize and then Save As/jpg which does the same thing and preserves the EXIF info.

Assuming the info is there, it can be viewed in several ways. Running XP and using IE, I used to drag the image off to my desktop, right click and select properties. Then I installed the free Opanda Exif Viewer and now I just right click the image in the browser and select View EXIF Info.

I believe for Safari there are official exif info viewer addons. Try google.

Steve, the photo looks awesome, can you please give us the camera setting for that shot such as aperture setting and such ... thanks
