I know a lot of you guys use closed loop setups so I have a few questions for those of you who do. My 180 gallon tank was drilled for a closed loop setup and I had to plug them but now thinking about using them. There are two holes on the left one about 3" from the bottom and another about 6" from the top. Same setup on the right side. If I was going to use them which holes should I use for my drain and the return from the closed loop? Thanks for your input.

I drilled two holes one above another, and used a tee to join them together then ran that to the intake side of the pump. My return on the CL is over the top. It works ok like this, but the return blocks some light from the back of my tank. If I were to do it again, I would drill for the return as well. but, hindsight is 20/20.. heres a pic of my plumbing:
