closed up duncans...(help)....

For some reason I can't view that pic but my Duncan is doing the same thing. Mine is only 4 weeks old but for the last 2 weeks it has only been open for 3 days. Hopefully someone can help us both.

Have you been feeding them daily? I've heard other case where they feed daily and it causes the skin to peel away from the skeleton and it to die. Good Luck!

yea my wife likes to feed them all the time..... i will look out for pesky animals at night i havent seen anything yet.....

Let see if your pic work here

Mine happended the same today, just like yours.

Mine look way worse, you can't even tell mine have polyps they are so sunken in. The outer tissue is still in really good shape just the polyps are pulled in so tight you can see all the grooves of the skeleton. Should I dip them and if so what should I use?

Taggin along cause mine is doing the same thing...it was happy at the spot for months and then all of a sudden it has been closed up for days...

Day 6 and mine still will not open....please somebody has to know what is going on. Water parameters are all good nothing has changed since I got them. I got them a month ago and they opened great and even budded 2 new polyps in the first 2 weeks, but the last 2 weeks they have only opened 3 days and they weren't in a row.
All other corals are doing great including SPS and all other LPS. I have no other corals within about 8 inches of this guy and have no corals with sweeper tentacles. No fish are bothering it that I have seen, I moved it 3 days ago as I thought maybe he didn't like where he was but still not open. What should I do, dip or don't dip? Please HELP

Last thing I added to the tank was a trumpet coral and a Pagoda Cup (Turbinaria). They are both doing well but it was after adding the Pagoda that it started closing up. The Duncan and the Pagoda are about 18 inches apart and I am running carbon 24/7 so there can't be any chemical warfare, can there.

Initially I placed the Pagoda near the Duncan but 2 days later the Duncan closed up and stayed closed for 3 days so I moved the Duncan since the Pagoda was liking the location. The Duncan opened up for 2 days in it's new location far away from the Pagoda and then closed back up for 3 days so I moved it back where I initially had it, near the Pagoda. It opened for 1 day and then closed back up. After 4 days I moved it to another new location where it has been since, still closed today makes day 7 closed. I am at my wits end with this thing. At least it still has good tissue and coloration it's just closed up like a vice.

Again no water parameter changes since I got the Duncan and no other corals are displaying any signs of stress.
