cloudy eye

I had a couple fish with cloudy eye. I just soaked frozen food in vita-chem, and fed it a few times. Within a week or two they were fine. I didnt have to catch the fish either. Keeping your water clean will go a long way too.

Could you use ozone to sort this issue out? I don't know just asking myself as my majesitc angle got the same issue. Everything else in the tank is doing just fine, it could be due to an injury (I hope) and may heal itself.
Please iIf anyone could comment on the use of ozone in such situation!!!

Ozone would have no benefit in this instance. Whether it is a bacterial problem, a metazoan parasite, or simply an injury, there shouldn't be any free ozone contacting the fish - the reactions with the O3 should all take place in a contact chamber....and not exposed to the fish directly.

Have you check to ensure that it is not flukes? My passer had cloudy eyes and it was flukes. FWD cleared it right up.

Thanks for the reply Jay, I wasn't too sure as majestic was rubbing herself against the rock for the last 36 hours but since I have introduced and used the Ozone it has helped a bit. She is doing just fine and cloudy eye has calm down a bit. I have took the ozone off as I used it for only 12 hours over last night and dosage was kept to the minimum. I am also going to the LFS to buy some Melafix and see how I get on with it. I think I will stop using ozone for the time being as suggest above it won't help to sort out injury and stuff. Also, the ozone I am using is combined with Sanders C200 (setting kept @ 50mg) and goes straight in to my Deltech APF902 skimmer.....
I hope melafix should sort this cloudy eye issue out.

By the way we have been snowed under here in Manchester (UK). We haven't seen such snow in the last 20 years or so and everything has come to standstill. Most of the businesses are closed due to people not being able to get to their place of work and I may need to walk to my LFS since going out in the car is impossible.
