New to the forums here, hopefully posted this in the correct spot.
I've had my brackish (cycled) tank up wish a green spotted puffer. It was low end brackish water, about 1.006. I slowly moved the water's salinity up but I did it wrong by putting salt into the bucket, then the water. I never let it mix up for long, just mixed it with a spoon and put it in. So the water started a little foggy when I cycled at 1.006 originally but went way more clear than my freshwater tank, but as soon as I started mixing and raising salinity it got so bad I couldn't see through it; so I bought a skimmer and it cleaned out most of it while I blew the white stuff off the rock. It's been like this for a few weeks, what is it and how do I fix it? I read up all about calcium precipitation and bacteria but I'm not sure.
