So I started up my 40g tank 2 1/2 weeks ago, it cycled in about 1 week( I used cured live rock and live sand). I started using lighting on Sunday, for about 6 hours a day, I haven't put my protein skimmer in yet, and Im waiting on my media reactor to come in. But just today, my water has gotten somewhat cloudy (it was super clear before) and I don't know what it is, its like fine particles throughout the water. When I pulled out my filter socks they were dirty, but when i picked it up, it released more particles back it. Could i just be stirred up sand or something else? I just don't want to screw it up.

Could be a bacteria bloom. A new tank will go through several stages of funk which are unpleasant to the eye. Ensure your power heads are not blowing the substrate around.

How many Lbs. of rock do you have in the tank.
I have 30lbs of live rock and 40lbs of live sand
I have a stable ph around 8.1 and my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all 0. I haven't tested for others yet as i do believe that it isn't necessary

Wait it out a couple of days. Try turning the lights off also during that time.

Since you are still cycling your tank especially with live sand, It would probably be either a bacteria bloom or just the sand is constantly being stirred. May I ask if you are currently 'ghost feeding' your tank and also what type of filters you are using?
