Cloudy water with kalkwasser

So I just noticed my ATO wasn't running (flipped the switch off when I changed my jugs, and forgot to turn it back on). I dumped what was left of my other ATO jug into my new, the water was a little cloudy (assuming this is from the unmixed kalkwasser?). When I turned it back on, it dumped super cloudy water into my DT, again assuming the cloudiness is from the kalk powder.

Is this harmful to my DT, and should I not be dumping the last bit of water into the new jug? This is only the second jug of TO mixed with kalk powder I've used.

wow 46 views and not one single answer? I guess after a bit I answered my own question, tank is crystal clear again.

It Depends on how much got got dumped in there but a Tiny Big will make it super cloudy. i think it will be fine. I have done something similar in the past.. Now i Turn my ato off when i add kalk . stir it up and let set for a hour then turn ato back on...
this way the undissolved power settles to bottom .

Small amount of cloudy kalk water being added is fine and it will fade over time. Large amounts are a totally different story....and don't ever let the settled powder get into the display. I'd put your pump on top of something in the reservoir so it doesn't suck up the settled powder.

Like mentioned before, always let it settle when you refill. I vacuum out any accumulated kalk power over time with a wet dry vac after it builds up for awhile.
