Well the tank has been going a for 3 or 4 months now and seemed to be going ok after several cycles. I still need to replace the old T-5 bulbs.(Over a year of use) and get either new filter cartridges or a new water filter so I still have problems with hair/nuisance algea. A few days ago I came home from work and the tank was very cloudy. Went away after a while, so I thought the wife had cleaned the glass of algea or something. It now does this every day. overnight it clouds up and looks bad for most of the day, but by the end of the day the cloudiness is gone and it looks great. Is this a bacteria bloom? I was thinking of buying some filtered water from somewhere to do a change instead of tap. I still have no funds for test kit, filter water, or new bulbs. (I really need to save up and at least get a couple of tests, maybe phosphate?) hmmm. Sorry for the long post. Let me know the info some of the experts will need to help me address this since I know I left out tons.
