clown and flow

Hi!
Posted this is in nano reefs. Thought this might be a better place to post it.

I'm hoping someone can help me with this.

I have a 12 gallon JBJ nanocube.

The only fish is a 1" to 1 1/2" percula. It is constantly fighting the current from the output in the nano. I've moved the nozzle in several different directions to help the clown, but doesn't seem to be helping.

Any hints/advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

mine has trouble against the current in my 50G as well. I turned it off for a few hours and turned it back on. i dunno if u can do it wit a nano. but hes getting much stronger as he grows. he can move around in the current much more and hangs out wit his mate around the whole tank now.

...percs, ocellaris and maroons are bad swimmers compared to clowns with a different body shape, like clarkiis, and tomatoes..So, IME, clowns with a "percula body" shape dont do well in high flow tanks..

wow, I just had the same exact problem last week when I added my two percs. I kept in the maxi 1200 but unpluged it and put in the stock pump and aimed it at the surface. It made a big difference, though I have no corals in it yet.
