I have a maroon clown who finally ate after 6 days. It has been hiding since day one. I have an anemone. I have rearranged the live rock. This fish has dug out a spot at the bottom of tank reminds me of a nest. Any ideas to get him eating and out of hiding?
what are you trying to feed the clown? And you said he finally ate after three days... so is he eating? Also check your tank levels, maybe the staying in the sand there is something off.
Mine used to clear a spot on the bottom down to the glass. It took several months for my maroon to find the anemone appealing. This is very normal behavior, just be patient, it is still getting used to it's surroundings.
Have you tried a different type of food? Some fish are very shy, add the food and step out of view. My maroon's favorite was mysis also loved pellets, would not touch flake or Rod's.
