Hi Dromonk,

Clearing sand to find a hard substrate to lay eggs is a typical clown behavior. It does not mean they are actually breeding, but it is a precursor stage.

Once a clown starts, I would plan on this being a constant behavior. They do like to decorate their own "house" in the way they see fit.

My sand is fine sold I change it or add a crush coral on top of it they cause everything to be covered corals don't like it

In my experience, they'll move coral rubble when they decide it is time.

I don't recall seeing the type of clowns, but my maroons and clarkii complex clowns were the worst.

Mine are just the Nemo one one is 4in other is 3 and other is 2 inch all 3 sleep together and play together no fighting at all

So which "nemo one" are you talking about, there are actually two different "nemo one" to choose from.

FYI we don't call them nemo fish, we call them by their species. Now if you don't know you can post a picture and we can let you know what you have.

Can't zoom in on it to see the eyes well enough but looks like Perculas to me. Is the main part of the eye orange with black center or is the whole eye black?
