Ok so I've done some searching and found that people have had problems with clowns loosing they're black with certain nems. Is this just him getting color? the big one ive had in the tank about a year and never really had any color changes with him other than just him growing and filling in. the little one I just got about 8 days ago. The black spots showed up 2 days ago out of nowhere and are darker today. yesterday the top half of him seemed like it was a darker shade that it was before. but not so much today. Could this just be him getting black on him with environment change or something that I need to be concerned about? He appears to be healthy and nothing wrong but only having him a week I don't know his full personality yet. spots are a little darker than the pictures show. and he has more on the left side that I couldn't get a pic of.

ohh and in addition one of the things that I read were that other people with these a few had clowns trying to host corals or something else. this one has only been with the anemone since in the tank. I have all my corals moved over from the "nem island" and he doesn't wander that far over. Hes hosted it since he was put in the tank and spots didnt show until about 7 days in and came over night. if they were stings wouldn't he have gotten them sooner? And I didn't have any issues with the first clown I had hosting these with any black spots if they are stings.

Spots are still there today. But the top side looks darker overall today. I'll try and get a pic once the lights come on in a few hours.

I have seen spots like that when clowns host in zoos or other corals. He is probably just getting used to his new home. If he acts healthy, I wouldn't worry about it.
