Clown breeding Q!

Hey guys

So my oldes pair of clown figured out how to lay eggs. This is the second time they lay eggs. However the female will eat the eggs after one day.

From the info i have found online, the male will clean rocks and watch over the eggs right? Since this male just swims around like a care bear.

Any one know what the problem could be? Eggs are bad? I havent fed the fishes that much lately due to work, could this be an issue?

most likely it is because the parents are not getting enough protein in their diet and are eating the eggs as a food source, feeding more often should fix this problem.

Thanks for the input, yes i did read that they would eat the first spawns, i forgot about that. When it comes to feeding, should i feed them 4+ times a day everyday? Or should i just feed heavy the week before they spawn?

I feed 4-5 times a day everyday. 4 times with a mix of flake and pellet foods and once a day with a mix of frozen.

it kinda depends on what you are feeding them as to how often to feed them. Focus more on nutritious foods. I feed most of my broodstock clowns Larry's Reef Frenzy and mysis shrimp 1-2 times a day and flakes once or twice a day
