Learn as you go, I guess? I bought a 3" diameter red star at the LFS and had not one problem until yesturday when I noticed it had some kind of bubble on it's back near the end of it's foot. I checked it again about an hour later and noticed it had another one on another foot, but this one looked more like a bite. I was worried and curious & I noticed it was getting closer and closer to the BTA & clowns buy sliding down the glass to try and get away. When I woke up this morning it was nothing but a ripped up pile of red. The large female is territorial of the BTA when certain things get around it, like my hand! But she doesn't seem to mind the other two fish I have getting near it. Fire angel & Hawkfish. Are there certain kinds of starfish that eat anemones? Did my clownfish instictivly know the star might be a preditor?
