clown eating habits

I have a pec pair and two damsels but the clowns are new in my tank and small. The damsels eat good but my clowns seem like they don't care for the flakes and they eat scraps. My red banded shrimp eat more then them. Should I try different food the LFS said they fed them random kinds of food. They only been in my tank 4 days I don't want them to starve. They get along fine wit the damsels they swim together everybody is happy. What should I do??

I haven't used flakes in years.

All of my clowns eat (( and love )) Rod's food (( red, green and blue label )), LifeLine's herbivore mix, prime reef, mysis --- all frozen foods --- and spectrum pellets.

Ya. you may want to get some frozen stuff for them. Rod's is great, i use it but it is about 10$ a pack, but any frozen mysis should work too! my clown eats up all the mysis, rods and i use dry spectrapure in the morning that it eats.

Could be the damsels, i had 2 before also when i bought to banggai's and the banngai's didn't eat until i took out 1 of the damsels, now they all live in peace! And the damsels only got really fiesty when the food came!

I'd say try frozen first, if that doesn't work take a damsel back to the lfs!

Thanx for the feedback... I picked up some omega one mysid shrimp today and they tore it up. I think ill take a damsel back anyway I want a firefish

lol ya those firefish are sweet looking, with only one damsel left he is super friendly with everyone, it was when i had 2 !
