Clown Fish getting Browner?!

When I first got my clown fish they were all orange. I recently noticed they are slowly turning brown on they're top?

Is this normal? Too much light maybe? Kind of like tanning?

tagging along...i have one clown that was orange when i got it. it has stayed orange. i have another that was light yellow when i got it and now it's orange with brown on top. wondering why my first clown never turned brown on top.

What type of clowns are they? Some types are more likely to change colors than others.

I'm assuming the clowns are false perculas. If so, then the black hues on top are nothing to worry about. That just happens when they've become accustomed to your tank.

yes, perculas. They have the black lines outlining the white stripes. wow I never knew this. Thank you.
