clown fish host??

is it possible for a black saddle back to host a clam? because it looks like mine is it stays right by its side and dosnt let anything near it what should I do if anything

It's not uncommon for clownfish to host in clams (or just about anything else you put in the tank).

Maybe offer him something he would like to host in more than the clam?
I don't know that there really is any way to stop a clownfish from doing something once it gets it's mind set on it.
Have you thought about putting it inside a little basket until the clown loses interest in it?
