Clown fish hosting question

Hi Everyone

I have a "new-to-me" 58 gallon reef ready aquarium

There are two rose BTA and two ocellaris clown fish (at least I am pretty sure they are ocellaris - may be true percula, can't tell the difference)

The clownfish are not currently hosting in the BTA

Is there anything I can do to convince the clownfish to host?

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated

I have not yet been successful, but if the fish is pestered until it goes near the BTA repeatedly over a period of time if it does not already have a safe spot which it dwells it might set up camp around them likley hosting at least the area and eventually the anemone. Problem is the harassment needs to be somewhta constant.

That sounds incredibly stressful for the fish...and incredibly unnecessary.

Simply put, no, there's not much you can do to "force" or "encourage" a clown to host an anemone...it's just a waiting game :)

Some will say they've had luck with hanging a picture of a clown hosting an anemone on the side of the tank, others with placing a fake clownfish, or one of those clownfish shaped algae clips, in the anemone for a few minutes at a time, but mostly it's up to the clowns.

They'll decide when and if the time is right...they may never host, or they might host relatively soon...just wait it out :)
