Any body have a clown fish undo things or move them? If so what typ of clown and what did they do?

first off i wish i had a camera, But my Sebae clown is hosted up with one of my sebae anemones on the bottom of the tank. The anemone is happy and looked good spread out at the base of the rock loving life but now the clown is digging out all the sand around him, i filled it in once but he is digging again. This just seams funny to me so now i let him dig.

So what have your clowns done to your tank?

... hosted up ...

Well that's a new one. We should make a thread about the different ways to bastardize the term "host".

The clown is probably trying to clear the mucous from the foot of the anemone. Whether intentional or not, they all do this. You will find a "moat" dug around most sand-dwelling anemones hosted by a clown.

:lmao: Not to be cruel, so your clowns do nothing you think is funny? or keep moving things to **** you off? That is the point of the thread tell the story.

But i am sure the info you gave on why clown fish dig helped someone.

That is what a lot of clowns do. It is one of the reasons I sold my Clarkii pair, they were digging up around one of my Haddonis, and causing it stress and it was moving all the time.

I built a beautiful home for a pair of Clarkii's complete with a nice little cave with an overhang. One day I went out to them and they had completely demolished my rockwork and moved it into a semicircle. They were happily hiding in the middle behind a wall of rock. The next day they spawned - who am I to argue?

I have seen one of my female B&W Ocellaris move a 20cm half clam shell across the tank. I put it back so she moved it again. It now sits where she wants it.

It is surprising what they can move when they want to.

Glass bottomed tank made it easier but she just grabbed it with her mouth and pushed. She is one of the ones that goes at my hand if I get too close to her eggs. Determined little bugger!!!
