anyone have any success with 2 pairs of clowns say ocelarris and percula getting along ok when introduced at about the same time? thanks

See below pic as it show's my black and perc swimming together in happyness. They are in a 125 and where added about 4 months apart. I had Two perc's and one jumped out so I added 2 blacks and all 3 are happy 3 month being together.

Ha Ha...its just that I have not known too many clownfish to be jumpers. Rule of thumb is 1 pair per tank but alot of people have 2 sometimes 3 pairs of clowns in their tanks especially the really big tanks where they can all have their space. Ill be putting possibly 2 pairs in my 60G when it is built. Probably a pair of percs and for sure a pair of black onyx.

I have noticed that the perc is now picking on both of the black clowns. I would not suggest keeping two different species unless you have a very large tank.

When I transfer everything over from my father in law's tank, I inherited an army of clowns. He loved them, and despite my advising against it, he insisted that they would be fine. I have a pair of large tomates, and four perculas (yes, 6 clowns in a four foot tank).

I would strongly advise against multiple pairs of clowns.

There is a pair of perculas that generally tolerate one of the other clowns, but the 4th percula is the odd man out so to speak. It takes shelter up in one far corner behind a powerhead.

The tomatoes rule the tank, without a doubt. They are generally a major PITA. They harass the perculas, and the sixline, and are constantly digging, and spitting sand all over the tank.

Some days the perculas are fine, but other days, the 3 perculas are constantly going after the 4th. At some point the 4th is going to be removed (if I can get it out), or it'll likely end up carpet (or hardwood as it were) surfing.
