Good day,

I just recently purchased a sabe anemone and is doing very well in my tank, my problem is that my clown fish keeps on ignoring the anemone and doen't seem like to host the anemone.. or is it the other way around ?(the anemone host the clown fish?)..

Is there any specific anemone that clown fish
like? Or its normal that some clown fish really doesnt host any anemone?

I believe there are specific breeds of clownfish for specific anemone but at my LFS they said a clown will pretty much take to anything eventually if there is no other ( I read that somewhere too on the net) the guy I was talking to also said you can scare them into it if you want, but I dont think thats very nice haha. We got a new anemone a week ago, we put him in and he pretty much stayed where we put him and has been happy there but the clowns dont go in it but they keep getting pretty close and having a look so Im hoping they will eventually.

I have a false clown, and it's about 2 inches and it has been in my tank for 3 months now ..The anemone is a little bigger than a saucer plate and is about a week old in my tank.

It moved several times when i first introduces it to the tank and knocked some LR but returned back to it's original place.

Still being ignored by the clown fish, I am planning to get another clown fish smaller that the one I have, i hope this one would host the anemone and encourage the other one to join in..
