How long does it take for a clown to host an anemone??

It only took my Clown fish about 2 hours until it hosted my BTA
i think it just depends on how brave your clown fish is feeling and tank size

LoL....I thought it said years.......Thats cool the two clowns havent left the side of the tank where the anemone is , but havent swam through yet....Im not even sure they host that type, though Ive heard they will (from LFS, but look who wants a sale). Thats not the only reason I purchased it though.....What do you think.... Perculas and a carpet, I think its a hadoni, the LFS didnt know....

Now I think its an ocellaris not a perc....

If they are not used to it you will see them doing their little wiggle dance around the anemone...just letting it brush them a little bit...it allows their slime coat to take on the properties of the anemone toxin so that when they host in it, the anemone recognizes it as friendly and not food.
