Clown Fish

my clown fish are causing my clam to close up - this has been going on for 5 days or so - is there a safe way to get clam off of rock?

You have to cut the byssal threads before you can remove the clam. Cut them as far away from the clam as possible. Do not pull the clam off. You probably dont have much time before the clam stresses and dies. Clams cant take much abuse.

I meant that it doesnt take long for them to go bad when they are stressed so you need to separate the clam from the clowns asap.
