Do yellow clown gobies and green clown gobies hide under rocks at all times? I got one of each for my tank and have only seen a glimpse of them this morning, but nothing at all now.

they usually hang out in the open, what other fish do you have in your tank? maybe some other fish is harrassing them and is hte reason whey they are being so shy.

The only other fish in the tank is a scooter blenny and crabs . This afternoon the yellow clown gobie finally came out,,, but the green one is still very shy,,, only showed his face once and right back in the rocks. Thank you for the answer,,, I appreciate that.

I have one general response to questions like this. Wait atleast 2 weeks to see their natural behavior. Give them time to get used to the tank.

If then they still don't act right, then ask again.

I have a green that hides most of the time and a yellow that is out most of the time

clown gobie

My yellow clown gobie has finally come out and is a blast to watch,,, on the other hand like I told you before the green clown gobie hid all the time and this morning I am sad to say he didn't make it. I wonder if the green clown gobies are just harder to care for??

my yellow is always out and about. He's a ton of personality in a tiny package. He once chased my 5" yellow longnose butterfly.
