clown host a green ricordea?

What else do you have in the tank? Clown may find something more appealing as a host. What would be the size of the ricordea? Obviously there would be no guarantees, but ricordeas have some visual characteristics of a [very small] carpet anemone, so maybe.

My feather duster has played host to my clownfish, so I'm inclined to think they'd choose just about anything that tickles them! Perhaps another user here has seen his/her clown host in a ric, but I've personally haven't heard or seen this behavior.

just as the title says, would a clown host a green ricordea? i found a special on saltwaterfish.com

No.

However, it is possible that a clown could be hosted by a green ricordea. ;)

Though, I wouldn't count on it, get it because you like it, not because you want it to host your clown.

thanks for the responses guys, i was just curious.. in my tank right now i only have 1 clown, 1 arrow crab, 10 blue legged hermits, 1 scarlet hermit and thats it, but was looking for some corals to add, was looking around and found the green ricordea for 1.99

My clown recently has just begun to be hosted by my Rics, not green but its still a ric. I guess he found it more appealing than the frogspawn it use to host.each clownfish may have his or hers personal preferances, so its basicly just a gamble...... unless you can speak clown and ask the fishy

so its possible that a clown will gain interest in something else and leave its current host? cause i got a clown hosting a freaken mushroom right now and another hosting a dang upsidedown clam shell...

my clowns host my rics during the day and jump in my frogspawn at night
