clown hosting heater

Okay, so I think I purchased a mentally challenged clown. I think it's trying to host on the heater. In the absence on anything else to host on, can they host on random stuff like that? Will he get burned?

They can, and do host random stuff. Mine hosted my mag-float for about a year before they moved to frogspawn. I even noticed them try to feed the magnet on more then one occasion. He should be fine with the heater, It wont get that hot.

mine sleeps by my mag float but doesnt host it.

im learning more and more about the clowns and its turning out pretty funny...

i have a pair of perculas and the first week they stuck by the back of my koralia. i thought they were just hiding away from the flow but i noticed the other day that when i put food in the tank, they would both feed the darn thing! cracked me up bc ive never seen that... ive seen them host nems, clams, and coral but never a koralia lol

i would be happy......my male hosts my duncan and is feeding it way too much and it is getting huge!!! now this wouldnt be a problem except that this particular duncan is impossible to frag because the polyps are so close together :/
