Clown Id

Thanks everyone for the info and advice, but I passed on buying it atleast until now. My black and white occelaris just started laying eggs so that will keep me busy trying to raise the fry. It is an amazing clown though maybe later down the road I will get a pair.

And winwood as far a how big they get I read around 5.5 inches.

Yeah I've read they get that big but have never seen one even close to that size. It's kinda like in the cichlid world a lot of references list Parachromis dovii or the wolf cichlid at a max size of 28 inches but you never see them that big. Maybe on rare occasions you will see one that is 20 inches. That is why I was curious to know how big Phenders got under his care.

Just out of curiousity how big did your orange skunks get Phender? They didn't look that big in your merten's but then again I don't think any clown would. I've always thought of them as a diminuitive species but now you've got me rethinking that notion. The thought of a 4 or 5 inch sandaracinos sounds pretty awesome!

My first female that was in the merten's grew to about 4" long from snout to tip of tail. The male was almost 3". Sometimes big females get a little grotesque, but she didn't, which is why I think she appeared small. Add to it that the male was pretty big and the anemone was 24" across, and your perspective changes a little. The former male who became a female is now about 3.5".
