Need some help on the ID of this one. LFS sold as a sebae, but I've read that sebae never have a third stripe. It's more orange than yellow.

With the tail, I would agree with that ID now that you say that.

Light is still kinda blue. Do allardi always have that gap at the bottom their tail stripe?

Similar to the chrysogaster, but not as yellow. Crap, who knows. Wish I did, so I could find another.

definitely NOT a chrysogaster.

but if you order another batch of allardi....youll receive the same fish you currently have.

I'm going to have to disagree with Ron on the allardi ID. Allardi at that age usually have a sort of bug eyed look to them and they nearly all have a yellow triangle at the base of their caudal area where it meets the tail that lasts their whole life. Check the allardi pics above. The tail of the allardi will gradually turn completely white as they get older, but the little triangle of yellow between the white and the brown will remain.

i accept phils challenge! but ill concede that hes probably right, hes seen thousands of more fish than i have.

just in my personal experience, ive seen batches of really dark allardi like this in the past (almost always ordered as chysogaster).
