is this a problem? Noticed one of my clarkii's trying to host my flower pot today...the part he was touching immediately retracted and then will slowly come back out after he stops. Will this be a problem?

I had to get rid of my flower pot coral because both of my clowns were trying to host in it and it quit opening it went from having 7-10 inch arms to maybe 3 inch arms and I just didn't want to kill it. JMO though.

As I understand it a clown can and sometimes will harass a flowerpot to death literally.

Regards,

Pat

My flowerpot did the same thing without a clown. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of the end. I will never buy another one again. From what other RC people said, they do not survive in captivity.:(

my flower pot is flourishing....its nearly doubled in size in less than 3 months....

my clown has hosted to it but for some reason the flowerpot no longer retracts because of the clown..hmmm

Mine also flourished for the first year, it started looking like the one pictured above. It got to the point where it was a small disk with no arms extended.
In my opinion, it is not closing up because of the clown. It is just starting to die. Hopefully I am wrong, but it sure looks identicle to what mine did.
