Clown issues...maybe normal?

Hi there! So, I have a pair of Mocha Clownfish, that I bought already paired at my LFS. I've had these two for about 2 months. I recently noticed the smaller of the two (male) has had some slits in his back fins. As well, I have noticed the female picking on him a bit lately. He does this seizure-like shaking thing when she picks on him.

I wanted to see if this was normal. I know they are aggressive fish, but I don't want the male to be getting picked on too much. As well, I didn't know if this was a part of their process of coexisting. I'm sorry if I didn't do a good job describing the issue.

I have a 20H, with a few frags. The Clowns are my only livestock, other than a CUC, and a hitchhiker hermit.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds to me like she's just letting him know who's boss. They might still be determining genders if they're pretty small. Pretty normal, just make sure to keep an eye on them so it doesn't get out of hand.
