Clown kicked out....whats going on?

I have had this pair of Clarki's for about 2-3 months and they have been doing great-sleeping in the same anemone almost everynight of this 2-3 months. I come home the other day and I notice the male not in the anemone and on the other side of the tank. I also notice some bite marks on the fin. Now, he never goes in the anemone and is sometimes chased by the female. I'm guessing this is some kind of rejection?

I guess my question is, Whats going on? What do you do?

Any advice would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Chris

My clowns go through this every now and again. They usually make-up within a day or 2. I wouldnt worry about it unless it carrys over for a week or so.

occasionally in the wild clarkii males have been known to switch to female for some unknown reason. not sure if this happens in the aquarium or not.
I would just try and wait it out

I just don't see how it could happen because its been very submissive and there is a huge size difference. But I guess you really can't know. I'm just gonna wait and see what happens.

My clarkiis have been acting in somewhat the same way. There is a large size difference between the two, yet the larger one (which I assume is now or turning female) won't let the other be in the anemone with it. I have noticed that after being submissive for a couple weeks, the larger one is now a bit more aggressive. Hopefully this will calm down for both of us.

yeah bwest, hopefully. I have noticed my female clarki is more aggressive too. She and my tang are really good buds but I saw them bow up at eachother a couple of times. Maybe everyone is just having a bad week.

Since last night the aggressiveness has increased. The smaller clarkii is looking a little ragged now. I originally purchased the larger one under the assumption that it was A. allardi, but never was sure if it was or not. The smaller one is definitely a regular black clarkii. Do you think this could be a reason why they now aren't getting along so well?

Here is a picture of the clown in question. Can anyone determine whether or not it's actually A. allardi? Sorry if this is considered hijacking your thread.

My pair has slowed down a little. She is letting him near the anemone around the base. She is also not chasing as much so its looking on the upside.
