I have a large long tentacle anenome in a 150 g for 6 months now. It started out great. It started twisting its tentacles off. I would find them in my tank. Now it looks terrible. Could this cause this.....
My cinnamon clown takes food from it and it looks to nip at it. He even takes the food if its in the anenomes mouth. If the anenome is "closed" the clown still tryes to get in it very aggressively. Any help to save the anenome would help. I do have another tank I could put the clown in if necessary.

Peremeters.
calcium- 430
PH- 7.8 --------------> Working on this.
ALK- 3.66
DKH- 10.2
Nitrate- 25ppm--------> was 60+ for awhile, still working on this.

Use plastic colander to cover the anemone while it consumes food.

It would be easier to take out the clown..

Yeah, but less stressful for the clown to use the colander...Why put unnecessary stress on the clown by moving it around when you could just guard the anemone while it's feeding?

I think it was TOURKID who was having a similar problem. I could be wrong with the name, but I know someone has recently. You may want to look back through the pages at posts from Nov/Dec maybe, and see if you can find the posts. I don't think anyone was able to figure out what was going on, maybe the two of you can compare notes and find some commonalities that may lead to an answer and possibly a solution.

Good luck!
