Clown loved old GBTA, doesn't care for new one

Got a new GBTA a few months ago to replace onw that died after a move. My 8 y/o percula always hung out with the old one. Hasn't gone near the new one. Is there anythin I can do as a "matchmaker'?

There are few tricks that I've tried but can't really confirm on success such as ;

The flash light trick ( Aim a light directly on the BTA at night so the clown can see that it's like a beacon )

The Picture trick ( Putting up pictures of clowns hosting in anemones around your tank, so a sort of Monkey- see- Monkey- Do thing )

Or the food trick ( Placing food strategically around the anemone so the clown can go by it and maybe spark some interest in it)


But ultimately it depends on the clown and anemone they choose if they are right for each other ( so to speak) and it's really better if you don't try to rush things, Either or might end up losing their life. No they aren't natural anemone/ clown pairings, Yes it can happen that they pair up ( Currently happening for me)

Those are some pretty creative ideas, I may have to try the flashlight trick. The weird thing is that the clown fish was always hosting the previous anenome. Maybe I should play some mood music for them.

Haha mood music might work :wildone:, but yea these aren't my original ideas but ideas that reefers past on to me. Good Luck!

^^^ That's another option but for obvious reasons can be dangerous for the clown. :fun2:

Funny but could be true... my clowns have some favorite BTAs in the tank. After a move or even through transport they will seek out their favorite hosts.
