I have 2 Ocellaris clowns which i purchased about a month ago. One is about 2 1/4 inches and the other 1 1/2. The two fought for some time, then the bickering subsided. It was peaceful in the tank(there are no other inhabitants) and then all the sudden, they began thier bickering again after the lights were turned out. The larger(which i guess is the female) began picking on the smaller. The Smaller, probable male, started attcking my power head, LR, and glass sides. He also swam around pretty crazily quite a few times. i hear this is what happens before they mate. Now my questions are...
1) Could they begin to mate this soon after being introduced to the tank(1 month)? and about how long do you think it would take?
OR
2) Has dominance not been establiched and they just took a break for a while?...but then, why stop, and why begin again all the sudden?
Any information would be greatly appreciated
