Clown not eating or sleeping..

I got a clownfish on Sunday. I tried to feed a little Sunday afternoon since I got him around noon, but he wouldn't take any. Attribute that to shock and such from new surroundings.

However, he hasn't eaten anything today either and I'd tried feeding 3 seperate times. Tried formula 1, frozen brine, frozen mysis, flake food and still nada. Some people suggest garlic, but I dont know what that is? Do you just buy powdered garlic and mix it in water and dip flakes in it? Or is it a fish food?

Something else that has me worried is he doesn't really sleep. He swims around the tank even after lights off and seems fairly alert to his surroundings.

I hope to get a black oscellaris this weekend, but he has been hanging out with my chromis a lot. Removed the damsel shortly after adding him so he isn't being picked on.

Any suggestions?

It could take a few more days before your fish eats. You could look for Garlic Extreme at your LFS. IMO, I don't think garlic is necessary. At least not yet. Be careful of adding too much wasted food to your system. You could cause an algae outbreak that way.

Yea, I only added a very small amount. the chromis ate the vast majority of it. But a few pieces floated by the clown. He made like "grabs" for the food but didn't swallow any. some he took in and spit back out. It wasn't to big either. Barely specs floating around.

If he isn't eating by Wednesday I'll panic I guess.
