This is long-winded for a simple question, so here goes:
Tank is almost 4 months old. Did contain 2 CB Occys. One seemed to come down with something and passed (before "she" passed, they were glued to each others side,; even slept touching each other). So the main tank is left with one Occy about an 1 1/2" long (very bright orange).
I bought an ORA pair from Divers Den and put them in QT. One is bigger than the other, with the smaller one being much more pale. Neither is as bright orange as the lone Occy in the main tank.
When QT is over, my plan was to remove the lone Occy and put him in QT, then move the "pair" into the DT. BUT...the "pair" dont seem to have much to do with each other. In QT, they are a foot apart or move, dont seem real interested in the other, and don't sleep together. Finally, the question:
Should I leave them as a "pair", since DD sold them as a pair? Or could I just put one in the DT with the lone Occy?
FWIW, when the QT has served its purpose and no more fish are to be introduced, I am going to get another Occy and add a carpet and make it clown only w/ nem tank. Its a 40 Breeder. Will also serve as a frag tank.
