clown pairing

so my girlfriend just bought two onyx trait clowns we found out they were wild caught but she decided to get them any way, not i know clowns will fight alittle but as mine never did because there was a big size diffrence how bad can it get, they are locking jaws but only for a second two times and sense then have calmed down, which i have read can mean they are both females but i saw one as soon as we put them in start shaking like my pair do and in the bucket there was no fighting what so ever any one help? could they just be pairing?

Need more info to determine if their both females. As to the behavior, it's not uncommon and could just be dominance playing out. I had a perc pair that I had to separate several times early on because the male was being tormented by the female. I would take him out for a week or so to give him a break and fatten him up a bit. After the third time, they've gotten along great.

I would check their respiration rate to determine stress. If it looks like one of them is "breathing" hard, it's probably stressed out and removal might be helpful.
