Clown playing with my emotions

Clownfish are not immune to the anemones sting. I watched my Haddoni eat two oscellaris. They get stung... but quickly (few hours to days depending) build up the mucus coat that defends them from it. Eventually they will have a heavy enough coat so as to not get stung severly. It is a natural relationship based on the clownfishes fear of being eatin. The anemone provides protection. The smell thing... YEAH, that's partly how they ID their natural host. Try getting them to switch hosts after they have established. May as well pull the other anemone and wait all over again.
